Also called the Toggenburger, a Swiss breed of dairy goat named for the Toggenburg region of the Canton of St. Gallen, where it is thought to have originated. It ranks among the most productive dairy goat breeds and is distributed worldwide, kept in roughly fifty countries across all five inhabited continents.
