Verticillium longisporum

Verticillium longisporum, also known as Verticillium wilt, is a fungal plant pathogen that commonly infects canola and can also attack other brassica plants and woody ornamentals. Its main symptom is wilting of the infected plant, and in North America it primarily affects eudicot plants. The disease can be highly destructive and difficult to eradicate, responding mainly to expensive soil fumigation or the use of resistant plant varieties.
