Don Kirkham (1908 to 1998) was an American soil scientist who worked at Utah State University and Iowa State University and is regarded as the founder of mathematical soil physics. His research centered on the flow of water through soils and the drainage of agricultural land. He received the Wolf Prize in Agriculture and the Robert E. Horton Medal.
