Christina M. Grozinger

Christina M. Grozinger is a Distinguished Professor of Entomology and director of the Center for Pollinator Research at Pennsylvania State University, where she joined the faculty in 2008 and became center director the following year. Her research group examines the mechanisms underlying social behavior and health in honey bees and related species, evaluating how biotic and abiotic stressors affect bees at the molecular, physiological and behavioral level, and she is internationally recognized both for this work and for her advocacy of pollinator research, education and conservation. Elected a Fellow of the Entomological Society of America in 2018, she received the National Academy of Sciences Prize in Food and Agriculture Sciences in 2021.
