Sir Kenneth Lyon Blaxter (19 June 1919 to 18 April 1991) was an English animal nutritionist who directed the Rowett Research Institute in Aberdeen from 1965. His research covered energy metabolism and feed use in ruminants, nutritional diseases, magnesium deficiency in calves, the effects of temperature on sheep, and ruminant digestion generally. He received the Wolf Prize in Agriculture in 1979 for his research into the nutritional requirements of ruminant livestock.
