Amrik Singh Cheema, who lived from 1918 to 1982, was an Indian civil servant, author and advocate of the green revolution who served as vice chancellor of Punjab Agricultural University. He was honored by the Government of India in 1969 with the Padma Shri, the country's fourth highest civilian award, for his contributions to the nation's agricultural initiatives.
