Agricultural Revolutions and Transformations

Structural turning points that changed how farming itself was organized, owned or practiced across a whole region or era, including the Neolithic Revolution, the British Agricultural Revolution, the Enclosure Movement, Collectivization in the Soviet Union and the Swing Riots, the laborers' uprising that erupted against the mechanization and wage collapse those transformations brought. Belongs here: a lasting change to farming's own methods, land tenure or organization, and the social upheaval that change directly provoked. Does not belong here: a famine or disaster whose primary character is loss rather than restructuring, grouped under Agricultural Famines and Disasters, or a single piece of legislation, grouped under Agricultural Policy and Legislative Milestones.
